Available courses can be viewed on our website. Please note that while every effort is made to support student choices, placement on any course is subject to availability in order to ensure optimum class size. Please read more here.

Accessing your course materials
At the start of induction period you may access the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), called ‘Learn’ where you can familiarise yourself with the online environment. Via Learn, you will gain access to course introductions and preparatory readings, as well as the course ‘classrooms’. Weekly course topics and readings are then released on a staggered basis throughout the semester.

Induction, information hub and online information sessions
The formal induction period for your programme starts on 5th September. You may use the time between then and the start of teaching on 19th September to familiarise yourself with your learning environment and meet fellow students.
We will be running some online sessions during this period to help you prepare to start your studies. These sessions will cover topics such as:

  • University services
  • Introduction to the Library
  • Starting your studies

Via the ‘Law Online Community Hub’ in Learn, you can access pertinent induction information for commencing your studies under ‘Induction and Self Study Courses’. Along with induction information, you will also have access to general study materials which will help you in preparing for study including:

  • The UK legal systems & the Western legal tradition
  • Legal information research skills & resources

Meet your Personal Tutor
During the induction period, your Personal Tutor will contact you. Your Personal Tutor is a member of academic staff who will support your learning and advise you on programme-specific issues, as well as guide you on pastoral issues and problems.
